Ongoing Experiments

Discipleship

While church attendance has declined, the need for spiritual growth and community remains stronger than ever. TCL experiments with ways in which seekers can practice and deepen their faith in a safe setting.

TCL Hang Nights - Social gatherings for current participants or those interested in getting to know TCL. Examples include coffee shop meet-ups or movie night + discussions around a relevant TCL subject.

Theology Nerd Night - For anyone of any belief system interested in digging deeper into a given theological topic! We begin with Christian perspectives and toss around any represented belief system in the room on a given evening.

Worship - TCL offers periodic small experiments in worship. Many have Christian roots and are multi-faith friendly. Some are built for multi-faith experiences from start to finish, encouraging all present to engage spiritual growth from their contextualized angles.

Service

We offer experiences in service in a variety of ways throughout each year.

To keep consistent with our grassroots mission and shape, we most consistently keep on the lookout for relationship-centered opportunities which may fall through the cracks of the help of larger non-profits. As part of this, we seek out creative and resourceful ways to help those who may feel invisible by providing relational, dignity-giving support however we can.

Local volunteer opportunities - Local offerings include periodic volunteer opportunities with wonderful non-profit communities like Casa Marianella or Community First! Village.

Unpredictable disaster relief - Depending on need, we take trips or collections to help with disaster recovery in the state of Texas.
